What to expect from my service:

Please call and book an appointment. Please leave a message if no answer. I will aim to return you call by 6pm the same day. Alternatively, you can email and I will aim to return your email as soon as possible within the same day.

Please ensure you have already had your ears examined and it has been identified you have ear wax which needs to be removed. I also advise the use of olive oil ear drops to soften wax prior to your appointment. These can be purchased cheaply at any pharmacy and some supermarkets.

You will need to use the drops 2–3 times daily for 5 days initially.

Please be aware ear drops may cause transient hearing loss, discomfort, dizziness, and irritation of the skin. Furthermore, ear wax removal may not necessarily relieve the symptoms (for example hearing loss may be a sensorineural loss and not due to impacted wax).

I do not recommend ear wax removal if you have a perforated tympanic membrane, active dermatitis, or active infection of the ear canal.

I may use a combination of microsuction and irrigation, depending on contra-indications.

I will require warm water and a plug socket in order to perform both treatments.
