After Care

Once the wax is removed, there is no protection from bacteria entering the ear. Therefore, you are at a higher risk of ear infections.

Please ensure you keep your ears dry for 5 days post microsuction or irrigation. Prior to showering, apply cotton wool to ears and avoid getting wet for 5 days.

Avoid any swimming for 7 days.

If you suffer with a build-up of ear wax apply olive oil ear drops once a month.

Consider ear wax removal every 6-12 months to prevent a build-up of earwax.

Discomfort may occur during and post ear wax removal. However, any pain or discharge from the ear which does not go away please contact your GP as you may have an infection.
